Appartement des Remparts

Appartement des Remparts is on the ground floor of an elegant 18th century building, just inside the ancient ramparts which surround the town. Although it is in the main market square, the apartment is very quiet because it is at the back of the building behind a traditional bookbinder’s shop.

Dinan centre has a wealth of preserved timber framed medieval buildings and narrow cobbled streets, and is home to a good selection of restaurants, traditional French bistros and cafes. There is also a good range of smaller shops, art galleries and boutiques close by.

The main doorway leads into a large room with a monumental granite fireplace, walls of golden lime and hemp with floors of encaustic tiles and oak. A new hand built oak kitchen has been installed and the dining table is next to a window overlooking the delightful garden.

The double bedroom has original oak panelling with two oil paintings uncovered during the restoration work. There is a separate WC and a newly fitted shower room and wash basin.

Outside there is a lovely private lawned garden with quality garden furniture and good views over the ramparts.

The rental prices include bed linen and towels, and changeover day is flexible. Heating is from modern electric radiators, making the apartment comfortable at all times of the year. Parking is available in the large public car park just across from the apartment.
