Located in the middle of the historic Saint Servan part of St Malo, this apartment makes a perfect base to explore St Malo and the beautiful and varied region of North Brittany. Available to rent for a short break or a longer stay, the apartment is located very close to the ferry port and the historic town centre of St Malo.
Forming part of a stone former fisherman's cottage, the apartment has been recently (2009) renovated and offers comfortable and well equipped accommodation for up to four. Very close to the beach 'Les Bas Sablons' and in the heart of a popular and typically French quartier, this apartment would suit visitors who are looking for a seaside holiday in a fascinating area with a great selection of restaurants and shops.

The apartment is located on the ground floor of a former fisherman's cottage, and has two bedrooms. The double bedroom has a large walk-in shower room with marble tiled walls, shower and wash basin . Separate WC. Bedroom two has two single beds.
Next to the bedrooms is a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/living area. The owner is a successful professional French chef and has installed a matching set of appliances in brushed steel - sink, cupboards, cooker, fridge, freezer and dishwasher - making a stylish and practical kitchen. Dividing the kitchen from the living and dining area is a breakfast bar. Next to this is a dining/living area with a dining table and satellite TV receiving English channels.
The apartment is located just next to the car park of the yachting marina. Parking here is free, it can get busy here during the peak months but you should normally be able to find a space to park.

Location
The apartment is in the heart of the historic St Servan quartier of St Malo, just next to the yachting marina overlooking the beach 'Les Bas Sablons' with its attractive promenade and views across to the town walls. With a good selection of cafe/bars and restaurants and wide range of shops all within easy walking distance of the apartment, you can leave the car at home. Very close by is La Tour Solidor, an impressive stone tower, built as strongpoint to control the port of St Malo and dating back to 1382.
A couple of minutes’ walk takes you to the 'Cité D'Alet', a grassy headland overlooking the town with magnificent views to sea - here you can explore the wartime fortifications and visit the museum which recounts the struggle to liberate the area in 1944. The coastal footpath can be followed from here, allowing access to some beautiful views over the river Rance.

The ferry port can be reached easily on foot from the apartment in about 5 minutes, another 5 minutes walk brings you into the heart of St Malo itself with its stunning sandy beaches, seaside promenades, historic 'Intra Muros' not forgetting a wide choice of restaurants and up-market shops.
A ferry runs across the river to the elegant seaside resort of Dinard, which has its own charm and some more beautiful sandy beaches.
The Channel Islands can also be reached easily, with Condor Ferries running regular sailings from the port.
