Description
A well equipped and comfortable studio apartment with sea views, part of an imposing former Victorian hotel. Located in the quartier of La Vicomté which is a headland next to Dinard, and with impressive views both to Dinard itself and across the river Rance to St Malo.
This is a quiet part of Dinard - the town centre can be reached by car in about 5 minutes, or you can follow the coastal footpath round via the Promenade du Clair de Lune. The nearest beach is la Plage du Prieuré which is 1.5km away, and which can be reached by the coastal footpath. Newly redecorated and very well equipped, the apartment would suit a couple looking for a quiet base but close to the popular seaside town of Dinard and the beautiful North Brittany coast.

Location
The town of Dinard is very close to the airport of Pleurtuit (about 5 km) which is served by Ryanair flying in from East Midlands and Stansted. With some very low priced flights you can get to the area very cheaply, and pick a hire car up at the airport. The ferry port of St Malo is very close as well – about a 15 minute drive.
The district of La Vicomté is on the St Malo side of Dinard, and is a quieter part of the town but close (just over 1 km) to the sandy beach the Plage de Prieuré. There is a couple of good restaurants a short walk away from the apartment, and a wider selection in Dinard itself which also has a good range of cafés, bakeries and shops. The GR34 coastal footpath runs just next to the apartment, you can walk this either to St Malo in one direction or to Dinard town centre in the other. You can also catch a ferry from Dinard to St Malo and see the town from a different perspective.

Dinard is one of Brittany's oldest seaside towns, and has a very French feel, much favoured by Parisians looking to relax by the sea. With a mild climate influenced by the Gulf Stream, the town has some great sandy beaches and beautiful views of the English Channel and the Rance Estuary. Much frequented by the British at the turn of the century, there are over 400 Belle Epoque stone villas dating from this period, many overlooking the sea. With a good selection of restaurants, bistros, shops and the weekly market, Dinard has all the facilities you need for a good break. A family friendly town, the beaches are gently shelving and, in the summer, lifeguarded. The family and food are an important part of French life, so there is no problem taking children with you to the local restaurants.
The town is a good location to explore the nearby North Brittany coast with its rocky headlands and beautiful sandy beaches. The impressive citadel town of St Malo is about a 15 minute drive away from the apartment, or you can take the ferry across the mouth of the Rance which takes about 10 minutes. Medieval Dinan with its collection of preserved half timbered houses and historic port area is a 25 minute drive away. A little further is the unmissable Mont St Michel with its Abbey and church perched high on a spur of rock.
