Location

The town is proud of its heritage and actively promotes many activities throughout the year - most weekends you'll find something going on. As a result the town does not shut down at the end of the season and, has very good selection of restaurants attracting both locals and visitors alike right through the year.

The apartment is set right in Dinan's historic centre, which has a fascinating and remarkably well preserved collection of beautiful old buildings. There's also an impressive medieval castle and you can wander along the high stone ramparts with great views of the old town.

One of the highlights of the Dinan calendar is the Fête des Remparts - one of Europe's biggest medieval festivals - which takes place every two years in the third week in July (the next one takes place July 2012) . Other events include a weekend of live music, jousting on boats on the port, fireworks on July 14th and a series of free open air jazz concerts during August.

The North Brittany coast with its series of superb sandy beaches is about a 35 minute drive away, The corsair town of  St Malo and the stunning abbey of Mont St Michel rising above the sands are also a short drive and well worth the journey.
